Instructions for Use
- Clean the mould with isopropyl alcohol or warm soapy water.
- Populate the mould with our growth medium—approximately 1570g of a sawdust and bran mixture or 1350g of hemp hurd, or use your preferred growth medium. Ensure you fill the mould from the correct side.
- Cover it with cling film, making sure to punch some holes for ventilation.
- Place in a warm area to promote growth.
Mycelium forms are naturally grown, not machine-made, so slight imperfections or variations in texture and shape are to be expected.
When using this planter mould, which is designed for creating mycelium-based objects, it’s essential to fill it correctly. The mould is designed with a distinct front and back to achieve the desired planter shape. Incorrect filling will not produce the intended shape. Please check the images in our listing for guidance on the correct side to fill.
Additionally, remember to create a drainage hole at the bottom of the planter. This is crucial for plant health, allowing excess water to escape and preventing root rot. We recommend using plants from the succulent family, as they require minimal water and tolerate drying between watering cycles.
