Steps for Using Benzylaminopurine (BAP) Powder
To prepare tissue culture media with PCTโs BAP powder, follow these steps:
- Prepare liquid tissue culture medium using PCTโs MS, DKW, or another suitable media, depending on the plant’s needs.
- Add sugar according to the volume of media being prepared (typically, 30 grams per liter), along with 1 ml/L PPMโข and 3-4 grams per liter of gellan gum or 6-8 grams per liter of agar.
- Mix in the required amount of BAP from the pre-prepared BAP stock solution.
- Sterilize the medium by autoclaving for 20 minutes at 121โ and 15 psi.
