Important Storage Note: After opening the package, transfer the mushrooms and the oxygen absorber into a clean, airtight container to maintain their crisp, dry texture.
Do not consume if the mushrooms are soft, as this may indicate moisture damage or spoilage. If you receive mushrooms that are soft contact us within 3 days of receiving the goods, if stored properly (cool, dry, and dark place in airtight packaging with oxygen absorber) they can last a very long time.
How to use whole Dried Mushroom
Whole dried Lionโs Mane mushrooms retain their fibrous texture and umami flavour, ideal for culinary uses that mimic meat or seafood.
Rehydration Process:
- Soak dried mushroom bodies in warm water (not boiling) for until fully rehydrated and soft. This can take 15 minutes or sometimes longer.
After rehydration use as per below:
Soups and Stews:
- Add them in the soup stock
- Simmer for at least 20โ30 minutes to allow the mushroom to absorb Flavors and soften further and then blend.
- Pairs well with miso, bone broth, or vegetable soups or mushroom soup.
ย Sautรฉ or Stir-Fry:
- Slice the mushroom
- Sautรฉ in a pan with a bit of olive oil or butter, garlic, and your favorite herbs/spices.
- Cook until golden and slightly crispy on the edges.
Flavor & Texture Note: When cooked this way, Lionโs Mane develops a meaty, stringy texture reminiscent of crab meat or lobster, making it a popular plant-based seafood substitute.
